OPEN OCO Pressbooks LaunchedIn fall 2020, the Online Consortium of Oklahoma (OCO) launched OPEN OCO, an open educational resource (OER) publishing platform powered by Pressbooks. Our platform allows for the authoring of educational materials or adoption of existing materials from extensive online repositories and formats.  It even offers low-cost, secure options of integration with our institutions’ learning management systems.

The OPEN OCO homepage allows users to sign up for an account or explore collaboration opportunities.

OPEN OCO can now equip faculty to create and import innovative content for their custom resources, including interactive elements such as multimedia and quizzes. Students gain the benefit of accessing the resources in multiple downloadable formats at little to no cost.

Faculty and staff from OCO institutions are encouraged to sign up for a free account!  Visit https://open.ocolearnok.org to request yours or find out more about how to get involved.

Current projects available for collaboration as of February include:

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation
  • Introduction to Sociology
  • OER 101
  • Information Literacy

Want to start your own OER project?

OCO is also accepting ongoing proposals for collaborative open textbook projects, particularly those which can be used at multiple institutions. We have resources available to support your projects including networking assistance, project management support, library research support, and instructional design expertise.

We’re ready to support you!
